I am Bridget Petrie.

Real estate is my passion. It runs deep in my blood, and holds so much meaning to me. I’ve worked in the real estate and mortgage industry for over a decade, and solely focused on the real estate side for the past 3 years. Aside from being a Realtor, I am a follower of Jesus, wife, mother-to-be, daughter, sister and friend! I’m originally from the Midwest, with a Minnesotan accent and all. My husband is active duty in the Navy, and we have been enjoying life in San Diego for the past 7 years. We have a baby on the way, and a fun-loving golden retriever named Troubadour. When I’m not working, you’ll find me walking Troubadour, running/working out, cooking, and spending time with my husband and/or friends!

I Got It from My Mama

As a third generation Realtor, working in residential real estate feels natural to me. From a young age, I grew up going to listing appointments, showings, and helping my mom host open houses. The most valuable part was being able to listen to my mom talk real estate. Her office was our whole house, and I could hear talk on the phone to anyone. My mom’s negotiation skills remind me of a bulldog. She doesn’t back down, yet somehow does this with grace, making the person she is negotiating with, feel like she is on their team. She was consistently awarded REMAX Solo Agent MVP, and frequently made the Hall of Fame in the metro area of her Region. If you ever get the chance to meet my mom, you will likely say that I am her clone, and that compliment is music to my ears!

What’s My “Why”?

The American Dream: The ideal that every citizen of the United States should have an equal opportunity to achieve success and prosperity through hard work, determination, and initiative.

What does the American Dream mean to my family?

My grandmother paved her way out of a life of starvation, and poverty through real estate. She was a single mother, Korean Immigrant to America, who didn’t speak English, and had no education (not even finishing grade school, as the Korean War disrupted this for many girls of her generation). She worked 3 jobs (janitorial) to attain some money to put into real estate. Investment by investment, her portfolio grew strong! By the end of her life, she had built a Real estate empire, owning a multitude of rental properties (20+). She was able to set up all of her children and each grandchild up for success. She created generational wealth from nothing, through real estate.

Inspired by her life, I firmly believe in the power of owning real estate. This is truly the American Dream; We have equal opportunity to make life decisions that will determine our outcomes, for better or worse. The best part is, any American can achieve it, no matter what their background is. I want my clients to achieve success through the American Dream and real estate is the most practical way to do that. Helping clients as their Realtor is my passion.
